Ancient lives, new discoveries

We wanted to connect the narratives of each human life to the landscape of the region and create a beautifully integrated visual language that introduced warmth and texture to the interpretation of this technology driven exhibition.

By printing graphics directly to Armourcoat® polished plaster and integrating these plaster panels into the build structure, the subtle tactility collectively conveyed warm stone and earth, helping to balance themes of leading scientific investigation with the landscape of poignant human stories. We were the first designers in the UK to use Armourcoat® as a graphic substrate.

Working with the digital media team AllofUs we created style guides, collaborating to ensure that the graphic language was carried through to the interactive elements.
